Gena O’Kelley Norris & Chuck Norris
After Gena Norris was given back to back MRIs with gadolinium in 2012, Chuck Norris went into early retirement from acting to save the life of his previously healthy, now dying wife. The two embarked a multiple year long journey of getting Gena the difficult-to-obtain care she needed to survive, talking to the media to get the word out, and taking on the companies who poisoned Gena, in addition to thousands of other patients. Although their lawsuit was ultimately dropped, this couple brought light and validity to an issue where many people were suffering silently for decades.
Gena’s Case is referred to as a “unique” case study, but it happens to countlesss people every day.
Note from the author:
This excerpt from drugwatch.com is significant & telling. Out of all the articles I’ve read on the internet regarding gadolinium, this is one of the few snippets where I’ve seen admission that gadolinium causes fibrosis of the tissues in people with normal kidney function. It appears this is only admitted in the case of Gena Norris, as if it is a one-off occurrence, likely because she and her husband fought tooth and nail to get this information out there. However, the thousands of indivuals whose experiences are censored lack resources to share their stories, especially since they become disabled, bedbound, or unable to work. If there were free open dialogue, imagine the number of case studies that would exist. The uphill battle is heightened by internet censorship and the grip that pharmaceutical & media companies have over the gadolinium narrative. - Kate Bonds 01/25
