Hi, my name is Naejomi Sussman. On July 20, 2023 I walked into Gunnison Valley Hospital thinking it would be like any other day. I just turned 42, was getting ready for my wedding, being maid of honor for a friend and also getting ready for school to start with my new class. Little did I know I would not be the same leaving. I was issued an MRI with contrast for a pinched nerve in my neck. From the start I was not provided informed consent, even after asking how safe it was. I was never told it carried a black box warning, nor informed of which drug was going to be issued. There was no informed consent. I sadly suffered an immediate adverse reaction of anaphylaxis having to go immediately to the ER. The medical gaslighting started immediately after I asked questions of what caused it and if they would report the reaction. Not only was it not reported, it was not handled correctly by not tracking the gadolinium products used in the hospitals radiology department. To date I do not know which product [I received]. I suffer countless chronic issues that include speech impairment, neurological decline, cognitive decline, heart issues, including but not limited to tachycardia, bradycardia, palpitations, etc. neuropathy, excruciating pain, burning and electric shocks, trouble walking, fatigue, kidney issues, mouth and throat issues, MCAS, skin issues, vision changes, tinnitus, and so much more since July 20, 2023.
