Erin was a mother of three when her life was turned upside down by gadolinium toxicity. She experienced intense neurological symptoms and went from being an active young woman handling daily tasks with ease to struggling to function. She had a new onset of connective tissue issues shortly after being by gadolinium, causing organ prolapse. She also had cysts on her spinal cord that were previously benign and asymptomatic. However, the inflammation from gadolinium “activated” these cysts, causing nerve pinching, sciatica, and continence issues. Gadolinium put Erin out of work, took a toll on her family’s finances, and challenged her relationship with herself, her partner, and everything she once knew.
